Ms. Dola was using soroban and said, "This is an Oriental calculator."

　ドーラさんがそろばんを使いながら、「これは東洋の計算機だよ。」と言います。

Many of soroban are made of Birch (or Japanese Box), Indian Ebony, and Smoked Bamboo.
　そろばんの多くは、樺（または柘植〔黄楊〕）と黒檀、煤竹でできています。

Of course, craftsmen are assembling one by one.
　もちろん、職人さんたちが一つ一つ組み上げています。



Soroban is an excellent hand-operated calculator.
　そろばんは優れた手動式計算機です。
