Many of soroban are made of Birch (or Japanese Box), Indian Ebony, and Smoked Bamboo.
　そろばんの多くは、樺（または柘植〔黄楊〕）と黒檀、煤竹でできています。

　もちろん、職人さんたちが一つ一つ組み上げています。



Soroban is an excellent hand-operated calculator.
